On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast (11/16/18), Hank mentions the polarization that took place in Pakistan over the acquittal of Asia Bibi, who was accused of committing blasphemy against the prophet Muhammad and sentenced to death in 2010. After spending 8 years in solitary confinement, Pakistan’s Supreme Court heard Asia’s final appeal and acquitted her. Since then, mobs have formed calling for Asia’s hanging and death to the Judges that ruled on the appeal. Unfortunately, the Asia saga is nothing new. Salman Rushdie, an author who grew up in a nominal Muslim environment, published a novel titled The Satanic Verses, which caused an untold amount of mayhem in the Muslim world.

Hank also answers the following questions:

  • In Matthew 24 it says that one will be taken and one will be left behind. Is this actually referring to the rapture?
  • Can you clarify some things about tithing?
  • Is it okay to compare scripture with other texts like the Communist Manifesto?
