On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast (03/06/19), Hank focuses on a section of Dallas Willard’s book, The Spirit of the Disciplines. Willard highlights a quote by C.S. Lewis from The Screwtape Letters, where Uncle Screwtape is reproaching the apprentice demon Wormwood for permitting his patient to become a Christian. But Screwtape then says “There is no need to despair; hundreds of these adult converts have been reclaimed after a brief sojourn in the Enemy’s camp and are now with us. All the habits of the patient, both mental and bodily, are still in our favour.” As Willard points out, Uncle Screwtape knew that if a converts habits remain the same, they’re going to realize very little of the life of Christ.

Hank also answers the following questions:

  • Is it acceptable to substitute words in the Bible, for example, using “Spirit of reality” instead of “Spirit of truth”?
  • I’ve encountered people who say that drunkenness isn’t a sin. What is your opinion on this matter?
  • Should we use vaccines that are manufactured using aborted fetus cells?
  • What’s the difference between sprinkling and immersion baptisms?
