Gender Identity, Transgender Treatments for Teens, and Q&A

On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast (10/10/18), Hank discusses gender identity, after noticing the change in language in a patient information form he filled out today. It used to be that when visiting the doctor, you would need to identify yourself as male or female. Now you have the choice of identifying yourself as something else altogether — as any one of the more than 70 gender options offered by Facebook, or any of the endless non-binary gender identity terms on the internet. This is clearly an accommodation to the current cultural madness of separating gender and sex. Hank then brings up an article from the Federalist titled “California Passes Law Allowing 12-Year-Olds to Get Tax-Paid Transgender Treatments” by Denise Shick. Choosing your gender is in reality not a choice at all. And should not be a choice for children whose brains are still developing. To compel children to make irreversible, life-changing decisions when they are disadvantaged at making prudent, proper, and permanent choices, is a human travesty.

Hank also answers the following questions:

  • Are humans to blame for global warming?
  • What is your stance on the necessity for Christians to confess their sins?
  • A Catholic friend asked me about purgatory, can you explain this to me?
