33rd. Anniversary of Roe V Wade
Click Here to listen
Sunday, January 22nd will be the anniversary of the 33rd year since the holocaust that was initiated by the Roe Vs Wade Supreme Court decision which legalized abortion in the United States. While rhetoric so often serves to camouflage the carnage of abortion, it remains the painful killing of an innocent human being.
Abortion is painful in that the methods employed to kill a preborn child involve burning, smothering, dismembering, and crushing – and never forget this - on live babies who have not been specifically anesthetized.
Furthermore, abortion involves killing. The zygote, which fulfills the criteria needed to establish the existence of biological life, (such as metabolism, development, the ability to react to stimuli, and cell reproduction), is indeed terminated.
Abortion kills innocent human beings. The child that’s terminated is the product of human parents. The child has a totally distinct human genetic code. Although the emerging embryo does not have a fully developed personality, it does have complete personhood from the moment of conception.
Thankfully, in God’s economy there is hope for those who have experienced the ravages of abortion. Not only can they receive God’s forgiveness in the here and now, but they can yet look forward to the ecstasy of reuniting with their unborn loved ones in eternity.
Ultimately, when I think of abortion my mind goes back to the words of King David, the psalmist who wrote:
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
When we talk about abortion, never forget it is the painful killing of an innocent human being.

Clean Up Job of the Present Day Abortion Holocaust
For decades we have been sacrificing our children on the altars of hedonism. Even now the axe of God’s judgment has been laid to the root. 2000 years ago Christ warned, “the time will come when you will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breast that never nursed’” [...]

Using the Literal Principle to Understand the Literature of the Bible
You are called to interpret the Word of God just as you interpret other forms of communication in the most obvious, the most natural sense. As it has been well said, to interpret the Bible literally is to interpret the Bible as literature. Thus, when a biblical author uses a symbol or an allegory, we [...]

Watching the Unrest in Egypt Remembering the Persecution of Christians
Hard to believe but we’ve already had a month and a week pass by us in the year 2011, and we are now glued to our television sets watching turmoil unfold in Egypt. I was arrested by an article in the forum of USA Today. That article by Joseph Bottum, by the way he’s a [...]

Naturalism and Religion Aren’t Friends (Part 2): Kill One to Fix Another
I want to mention this article that I alluded to yesterday “Science and Religion Aren’t Friends,”[1] better titled, “Naturalism and Religion Aren’t Friends.” What this author Jerry Coyne does is he equates naturalism with science, which is a huge faux pa. “Science and faith,” he says, “are fundamentally incompatible.” Why? Because “irrationality and rationality are [...]

Science and Religion Aren’t Friends?
One of my habits every morning is to read through USA Today among some of the other newspapers that I peruse, and this morning I read the Forum in USA Today, and quite frankly did so before I had breakfast. I think that if I was eating breakfast at the time I would have had [...]
