On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank discusses fasting, a spiritual discipline in which we master our appetites so that we may partake of heavenly manna. While food is certainly a glorious gift from the Lord; little compares with mastery over the appetites that so often seek to master us. The Apostle Paul uses the analogy of athletics in this regard, saying that we must run the race in such a way to get the prize. Wishing doesn’t win a race, it requires strict training and discipline.

Hank also answers the following questions:

  • Reading Michael the Archangel’s fight against Satan in Revelation 12 makes me wonder; has this battle already taken place, or is it a battle in the future?
  • My daughter is enrolled in a private Christian school and she stole something. I replaced the item, but she was expelled from the school and will not be allowed to return. How should I handle this situation?
  • Can you clarify Jesus’ words to His mother in John 2:4?
