On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast (10/01/18), Hank discusses an article he read in the National Review by Jonah Goldberg titled, “The Moral-Panic Phase.” In this article, Goldberg is commenting on the idea that Judge Kavanaugh cannot be a Supreme Court Justice because of the passion he displayed in defending himself during the Senate Judiciary committee hearings on September 27th. If Kavanaugh had been coldly dispassionate, the opposition would be using that as evidence of him being an emotionless monster who lacks the basic human decency to take offence at being called a rapist. As Goldberg wisely notes, judges are not expected to be cold and dispassionate in the face of charges about themselves. That’s why they recuse themselves from cases in which they have a personal interest.
