On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast (03/31/20), Hank encourages listeners to pick up a copy of the movie on DVD, Fragments of Truth: Ancient Documents, New Discoveries. The most important question dealt with in this film is if we can trust the Bible. Hank has said often that the Bible has stronger manuscript support than any other work of classical history—a fairly audacious statement to make, but yet it is undeniably true. Added to the manuscript evidence, you have the archeological evidence. The archeologist’s spade demonstrates time and time again that in direct contrast to pagan mythology, we have people, places, and particulars in sacred Scripture that have their roots not in mythology, but rather in history and evidence. In the second segment, Hank addresses those in the Church who give us not only false prophecies but also false advice; one false notion being that we should defy the government when it comes to social distancing. There have been several examples of this false teaching around the world, including in Jerusalem, Iran, South Korea, and even right here in the United States of America. Hank strongly is in favor of the social distancing guidelines, which is particularly important for him because of his weakened immune system from going through a three-year battle with cancer. It also does not command something that God has forbidden, so we are able to comply with both God and our God-ordained human governments.
