The most virulent of attacks on the historicity of the Old Testament are often reserved for its account of the Exodus. Deniers claim that the Exodus is “an artificial and theologically influenced literary construct” and “A theological creation out of thin air.” University of Sheffield’s Philip Davies pontificated that most biblical scholars find absolutely no historical validity to the biblical account of the Exodus. But Hank points out three proofs for the validity of the Exodus account—mud bricks, mixed multitude, and the name Moses. Additionally, the unearthing of the Merneptah Stele is another in a long list of archeological discoveries demonstrating that what is found in the soil corresponds to that which is found in Scripture.
