On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast (03/17/21), Hank brings up how last year’s celebration of St. Patrick’s Day was largely muted as COVID-19 was just beginning to become part of our national vocabulary. The media was communicating a narrative that was, at best, the skin of the truth stuffed with significant lies. Along with social media, big tech, and big government, they were bent on promoting what might well be described as the first full pandemic of panic. As Christians, we see the church as the place where the union of human persons with God is accomplished. And therefore the church is the most important organism on the planet. For someone like Dr. Anthony Fauci, church is at best ancillary to a properly ordered society. But for us as Christians, no society can properly function without it. Along with the paganizing of our culture, Hank also talks about the paganizing of St. Patrick’s Day. St. Patrick was a 5th-century saint now considered to be the patron saint of Ireland. When he arrived in Ireland, most of the Irish practiced a nature-based form of paganism. But through Patrick’s work, God brought many in Ireland to repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus.
