On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast (02/07/20), Hank discusses an illustration provided in Andrew Walker’s book, God and the Transgender Debate, which is available to those who support the ministry of the Christian Research Institute all this month. The illustration is that of a viral video that shows a young Caucasian man in his thirties interviewing college students at an American University. He first asks the students how they feel if he asserted that he is a she. He then asks how they feel if, as a Caucasian, he asserted that he is Chinese, or that he is seven-years-old, or that he is 6’5″ despite clearly being short in stature. Remarkably, all those assertions were met with precious little resistance. But, as Walker points out in his book, there is a problem. Imagine applying the same logic to those with anorexia or those with feelings of worthlessness. Clearly, their personal perception of reality is incorrect and to affirm it would be harmful, and so it is with gender identity as well. Hank also continues to highlight the essential doctrinal differences that separate Mormonism from genuine Christianity which he started on yesterday’s broadcast. Hank starts by discussing the origins of the Mormon priesthood, pointing out the fatal flaws in the story. Hank also talks about the Mormon Quad—the four books that compose the Mormon canon, which are the King James Version of the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price.
