On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank examines a quote from Steve Jobs, the former chairman, chief executive officer, and co-founder of Apple who passed away in 2011. Jobs is quoted as saying, “Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life.” But upon reading that quote, Hank thought about a change he would make to apply the quote to himself, which is that knowing that he would live forever in eternity is the most important realization he has ever encountered to guide him into making the major choices in this life. Because everything, all externalities—pride, embarrassment, fear of failure—evaporate in the face of immortality, leaving only what is truly important in light of eternity.
