On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast (03/30/20), Hank discusses an article in The Wall Street Journal titled “How Epidemics Change Civilizations” by Jason Willick. Hank shares seven insights he gleaned from the article, the last three of which he believes are the most poignant. The most important of all the insights Hank gleaned is the need for repentance. Throughout history, many nations have prayed for the mercy of God—including America. In the midst of the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln called on all Americans to participate in a national day of humiliation, fasting, prayer, and repentance.
Hank also answers the following questions:
- Is a person’s forgiveness in Christ dependent on whether they make amends for sin, irrespective of whether the sin is known or unknown by those sinned against?
- Can you explain the verse that talks about the earth groans and travails?
- Somewhere in Scripture, it mentions something about entertaining angels unaware; does this mean angels can look like men?
