On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast (01/20/23), Hank discusses a blog he read by Jerry Coyne, professor emeritus at the University of Chicago in the Department of Ecology and Evolution, who was not only defending abortion but also infanticide. Coyne writes, “If you are allowed to abort a fetus that has a severe genetic defect… then why aren’t you able to euthanize that same fetus just after it’s born? I see no substantive difference that would make the former act moral and the latter immoral.” On one level he is absolutely right; if you can abort a late-term child, why not take the next step and abort a child a few days after it is born? The problem here is a failure to recognize that that child has personhood from the moment of conception.

Hank also answers the following questions:

  • I became a Christian many years ago but lived a very sinful life. Recently the Lord got a hold of me and I repented. Do I still have a chance to go to heaven?
  • Is it possible to sin against another person, as well as against God?
