On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast (03/26/20), Hank discusses resurrection as we are approaching Pascha or Easter in a few weeks. Postmodernity seeks to deny death by driving it into the closet, to circumvent it through the use of clever clichés, or to feign the discovery of the illusory fountain of youth. In sharp distinction, says Hank, Christianity demonstrates that while death is difficult—it is ultimately defeated. Hank quotes Philip Yancey who said, “Christianity does not offer a peaceful way to come to terms with death. No, it offers instead a way to overcome death. Christ stands for Life, and his resurrection should give convincing proof that God is not satisfied with any ‘cycle of life’ that ends in death. He will go to any extent—he did go to any extent—to break that cycle.”

Hank also answers the following question:

  • My wife recently died. In expressing condolences, friends have said that she is watching over me from heaven; is this accurate?
