On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast (05/27/21), Hank continues to discuss prayer, illustrating that the Lord’s Prayer he examined on the previous broadcast is not the only way to pray. Another way to organize your prayer time is around what Hank calls the F-A-C-T-S prayer guide. In place of merely snorkeling in the surface waters of prayer, F-A-C-T-S provides a means by which you can dive deep beneath the tumult and turbulence of the ocean surface to a place that is silent and serene. A place in which your harried requests may give way to the quiet of union with the Lover of your soul. Once you have found a secret place—a place where you can drown out the static of the world and hear the voice of your heavenly Father—you are poised to begin your experience with God by focusing on the first letter of the acronym F-A-C-T-S, which will serve to remind you of the word faith. This for Hank is another wonderful entryway into prayer. Faith is more than mere knowledge and agreement; it involves living trust. Not faith in your own faith. But dependence on the Lover of your soul. Knowing that God has every detail of our lives under control provides a sense of faith. A sense of security and trust that makes life work.
