On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast (06/10/20), Hank discusses Hinduism, as we get so many questions on Hinduism. 94% of the world’s Hindus live in India—home to 1.4 billion people, almost one-sixth of the world’s population. Cows are considered sacred, so much so that a directive in the constitution prohibits the killing of cows. Dalits—the untouchables—are considered so unworthy by the upper caste that they are not even part of the caste system. They are forbidden from physically touching any member of any caste. Doing so would render caste members unclean by Hindu scriptural standards. What this means is that there millions—perhaps as many as 300 million—men, women, and children created in the image and likeness of God who are treated with far less dignity than the burgers we eat at fast-food restaurants in other parts of the world. Although Hinduism is multifaceted rather than monolithic, Hank is able to summarize its basic tenets with respect to God, humanity, and salvation.

Hank also answers the following questions:

  • Do you believe that the first half of Daniel’s seventieth week was the three and a half year ministry of Jesus Christ?
  • When Paul spoke about the branches on the olive tree, is it not true that he was one of the branches that were broken off before he was grafted back in on the road to Damascus, correct?
