Hank Hanegraaff, the host of the Bible Answer Man broadcast, talks with Sammy who wants to know if there any apostles or prophets today? Hank answers and says there are certainly no more apostles or prophets like Isaiah or the Apostle Paul. The reason is in the Old Testament God spoke through the prophets and His word was on their lips. And there was a very clear distinction in the Old Testament between false prophets and true prophets of God. The same thing is true in the New Testament. The Apostle Paul is approved as an apostle to the Gentiles. Paul is one who had an encounter with the living, resurrected Christ. So in that sense, the foundation of the apostles or prophets cannot be duplicated in our time.
