Diet and Exercise Can’t Save You

Hank Hanegraaff, the host of the Bible Answer Man broadcast, highlights a chapter in Clay Jones’s book, “Immortal: How the Fear of Death Drives Us and What We Can Do About It.” The chapter came to mind when Hank received a call recently about a friend who passed away, seemingly out of nowhere. It doesn’t matter how good your eating habits are or how meticulous you are about your health, because we all will die. Today, many people hope that if we keep our bodies healthy through proper diet and exercise, medical science will one day find a cure to everything that might kill us, and then we can coast to immortality. Many obsess over exercise, eating healthy foods, and avoiding unhealthy foods. People will do just about anything to squeeze just a few more months, weeks or even days out of their life here.
