Hank Hanegraaff, president of the Christian Research Institute and host of the 𝘉𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘈𝘯𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘢𝘯 broadcast, reacts to a recent Wall Street Journal opinion article by the theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss. As author of the book, A Universe from Nothing, Krauss believes that nothing created everything, that life came from non-life, and that the life that came from non-life produced morals. But in this WSJ article, Krauss has something quite valuable to say. He’s concerned about the mad rush toward “diversity, equity and inclusion” within academia. “What began as an effort to hire more minorities has turned into a demand for ideological engagement.” For example, with respect to obtaining grants for research projects, he rightly worries that research abilities and capacities are now less important than an absolute fidelity to woke ideology. However, Krauss is immersed in his own tyrannical rule. For him, the Intelligent Design movement must not be countenanced within science. So, for Krauss, it is not enough to follow truth and evidence wherever they lead but one must be committed blindly to whole universes emerging out of nothing. In the age in which we live, it is crucial that Christians learn to think and to exercise discernment.
