Hank Hanegraaff, the host of the Bible Answer Man broadcast, talks with Teri who notes that according to the Bible, King Saul took his own life so is this biblically permissible? Hank notes that this goes against all of Christian theology. From a Christian worldview, the timing and the terms of death are the providence of God alone. Therefore, a doctor or an individual is never permitted to usurp the prerogative of God. So hastening death based on subjective judgments about the quality of a person’s life is a direct violation of Scripture.
