Hank Hanegraaff, president of the Christian Research Institute and host of the 𝘉𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘈𝘯𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘢𝘯 broadcast, offers a slightly satirical commentary on the question that was asked of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson at her confirmation hearings: What is a woman? This is a very complicated question, especially in an age of NCAA Division 1 champion swimmer Lia Thomas, who some say is a woman in virtue of her self-identification and others say she is a man in virtue of having a penis. There is much contention over this matter. And in Time, Susan Stryker, a visiting professor of Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies at Yale University, says that the legal recognition of a gender binary—the idea of male and female—has been a privilege of whiteness. Judge Jackson said that she couldn’t answer the question because she isn’t a biologist.
